The NJ children’s museum is perfect for littles – Imagine That advertises to preschool and young school age kids – who want to play pretend, learn, and explore new areas safely, learning within a “learn-through-play” model.
We love not only that you can take preschoolers, young school kids, and toddlers and they will enjoy themselves, but they also have a soft play area for kids 1 and under so that moms with multiple kids can find something for everyone. Bonus: it’s all on one level with no stairs, so it’s wheelchair accessible and you don’t have to lug a stroller upstairs. This alone makes it one of our favorite things to do in Morris County NJ with littles.
Outside food is not allowed as they have a cafe with food and treats for sale. Open Tuesday through Sunday, you can find their open play hours on their online calendar on their website.

The chain of indoor trampoline parks has a new location in Mount Olive that kids will love. Jump around during free play on wall to wall trampolines, play a game of Ultimate Dodgeball on the dodgeball trampoline court, make some baskets with SkySlam, or come in for a soft landing in the foam zone.
Sky Zone also offers toddler hours for littles to jump around without having to be careful of big kids. They also have sensory hours for a more toned down jump experience for those with special needs. Grown-ups can also get in a workout during a SkyFit workout class!

If the weather is good, make your way out to Alstede Farms for the day! Visit and feed the farms many animals, from baby cows to horses and goats. Then go through mazes in the late summer and fall (corn and sunflower!), let the kids dig around in the corn bins, enjoy a wine tasting from Tomasello winery. Finally, grab a cup of fresh, homemade ice cream for the kids.

A great option for kids of all ages, get out and enjoy the day at this free park in Mount Olive. With a large playground with sections for kids ages 2+, multiple athletic fields, a dog park, community events, and walking paths, everyone will find something they like!
Turkey Brook Park also features a splash pad, the Pirates Cove water park for kids to cool off and run around in the summer months that is also free!
Any kid who loves trains is going to love heading over to the Whippany Railway Museum, making it one of the top things to do in Morris County. With an outdoor exhibit with antique, well-preserved trains kids can look at and in some cases climb on as well as an indoor museum where you can learn more about trains. Even grown ups are sure to learn something new!

Details: Get the wiggles out by jumping around in this play place filled with inflatable bounce houses. remember to bring socks, as there are no shoes in the bounce houses. They offer tons of different themed jump dates, from tie-dye jump (kids jump for 70 minutes and then make a tie-dye t-shirt, currently price $14.95) pajama jump or pizza jump.
Jumping sessions last 70 minutes for crazy fun, and some of the themed events include food. Parents or caregivers are free, as are children under 34″. Children under 34″ are allowed to play with the floor toys but are not allowed on the large inflatables.

Randolph Climbing Center offers a chance to learn and practice rock climbing in a safe and fun environment. Get out into the fresh air and explore Hacklebarney State Park where the Black River cuts through the land to create spectacular views. They boast a 3 level structure for kids to climb and crawl around in with tunnels, slides, and obstacles, and bonus, it’s big enough for grown-ups to maneuver so you can feel comfortable letting littles run around.
They even have a new toddler structure for kids under 3 with a ball pit, slide, and other climbing features. Best suited to kids 6 months to 7 years, make sure you check out their site before going to check open play hours which change often. Kidnetic also offers a cafe for food.

You don’t have to go all the way to the shore to enjoy the boardwalk – Funplex offers all the fun of a boardwalk indoors! With bumper cars, arcade games, virtual reality games, and laser tag, kids won’t gte bored inside, but if they do, you can take them outside to the outdoor water park!
Open Memorial Day – Labor Day (indoor attractions are open all year long) you can slide down one of 6 water slides, including a completely enclosed 5 story Coal Mine Railway, relax in a lazy river, or splash at the splash pad or interactive play area.
