Space Farms Events:

Daily Events:

Daily Animal Feedings: at 12:45 daily, watch zookeepers feed the animals. Fair warning, they feed the big cats deer roadkill and it’s definitely identifiable. If you have littles who are sensitive to that kind of thing, you might want to skip it.

Daily Bottle Feeding: at 2 pm daily in Pop Pop’s nursery, guests are invited to help feed the babies, weather permitting.

Seasonal Events:

  • Boo at the Zoo
  • Junior Zookeeper Day
  • Teddy Bear Day

Learn about all of the events on their site.

Need to know about the Zoo

  • The pathways of the zoo are all dirt. We recommend wearing shoes you won’t mind getting a bit dirty!
  • Parking is across the street from the entrance, plentiful, and most importantly, free!
  • Upon entrance, you’ll see a food court of sorts with tables. There you’ll find their onsite restaurant, Extreme Pizza which is an easy choice for kiddos. You can bring a packed lunch to the zoo as well.
  • Bring quarters! Near the deer exhibits, you’ll see animal feeders that take quarters. Alternately you can buy a bag of corn for the deer or bags or animal crackers to toss to the bears at the front desk,
  • Taxidermy. Beware – when you first walk into the Zoo to buy your tickets or head to Extreme Pizza, there is a ton of taxidermied animals. It’s just at the entrance, but something to note!
